Micali found this "hat" for Eli and thought it was the perfect size.

Bonding!

Micali can not get enough of her little brother lately. She just loves him so much. He is starting to show interest in her and smiling in response to her silliness. This just makes her get even more in his face. Lastnight she really wanted to hold him so with my help she pulled him onto her belly. He just laid on her stomach and laughed. This was hilarious because he is really close to being her same size. Just a little shorter.

So many things to be grateful for....

This week Micali and I both have had the stomach flu. Thankfully it wasn't at the same time though. Micali had hers on Monday and Tuesday then began feeling better on Wednesday which is when I started feeling sick. Daddy and Eli had a couple late nights in a row while Eli decided he wasn't tired or perhaps he wasn't feeling well either. Weeks like this make me so grateful for the health that we are able to enjoy most of the time. I am grateful for friends who go out of their way to be of service by making dinner and taking Micali. I am grateful for a husband who works hard to provide for the family and then also comes home and and does whatever he can to help out.
Here are some pictures taken throughout our week....

Cheerios

Micali took business into her own hands lastnight. We kept getting interrupted trying to get dinner finished. We were making fried halibut which she loves she just didn't want to wait. I found her underneath the table cleaning up this mess she made.

Happy Birthday!!!

Luke's Birthday was on Friday. He invited some of his students over for a game night and birthday cake. He taught them how to play one of his favorites, The Farming Game. From the pictures it apprears that a good time was had by all. He asked one of them before they left to give him an honest opinion of the game. On a scale of 1-300 it got a 187----He said barely passing! We enjoyed having them over and look forward to more game nights!

Cutie

Micali's hair is getting so long. I decided to try it in real pigtails. Here is how it turned out but this didn't last to long.

A little scare.....

Luke had a quick project planned for Saturday morning. He did as much as he could Friday night and after a quick trip to the Home Depot in the morning we were going to have water and ice hooked up to our refrigerator. Waking up to another 4 inches of snow in the morning didn't help much but he and Micali braved the elements, at 7:00in the morning, and came home quickly with the part. All started out just the way we planned it. Well my muscle man turned the pipe a little to tight and broke the weld (not the right word for the copper piping but that word has slipped my mind) and water went spraying out all over the kitchen and pouring into the basement. He luckily knew where the turn off was and I had luckily filled the closet full of towels the night before. I started mopping up water and he got the water turned off pretty quickly. Now what?? Well I will give you the short version. After 5 trips to home depot, a new sink, garbage disposal, a faucet, and all new piping, we were able to get a drink of water out of our refrigerator door before we went to bed at 10:30 !! Sweet!
All the new stuff wasn't necessary because of the flood but since he was down under the sink replacing stuff we decided to do it the right way.
Here are some pictures to show the adventure that took ALL of our Saturday.

Four years of Married Bliss!!

I can't believe it has been four years since we got married. Although I can't even remember what life was like before. We have definitely packed a lot of fun and adventure into these four years. We started off getting married on the same day that we graduated from BYU-Idaho. We then traveled to California for summer job. A few months later we made our way to Tyonek, Alaska and enjoyed a year of teaching there together. It was a great experience and being so far from anything familiar really helped us learn to depend fully on one another. After a year there and a cruise to the Caribbean we settled down to teaching jobs on the "road system." At the end of that teaching year we bought a FIXER UPPER house and turned it into a beautiful home. That is when Micali joined our family and we began learning all about parenthood. Thank goodness for such a patient little girl. During this time Luke worked on his Master's Degree and I slept(not the whole time). That brings us pretty much up to date. Now we have two little ones and another house to fix up so we are staying busy and definitely never have a dull moment. I have been so blessed!!
