Six weeks old.
We went to the Doctor today and all she could do was laugh when she saw Eli. She was so surprised at how big he is. The last time we were at the Doctor was when he was a week old. He weighed 7lbs 14oz then. Now he is 6 weeks and weighs 12lbs 14oz. So, if you do the math he has gained an average of a pound a week for the last 5 weeks. He checked all healthy too. Since he is so much bigger than Micali she said he is probably ready to sleep in his own bed now(yes, he has slept in our bed thus far). I feel better hearing from my doctor that is okay to let him cry himself to sleep now so soon I will have my side of the bed back to myself.

Eli--the BIG guy! (that rhymes)
These pictures crack me up! I quit taking so many pictures of him because they all started looking the same. The only differences is his double chin just keeps getting bigger and his cheeks wider. He is a sweetie though and ohhhh soooo cuddly!

Micali's adventures the last few days.
I can't think of much else to say about these pictures. She sure is a lot of fun lately and is really starting to talk and understand so many new things each day!

Thank you!
I have been feeling bad that I haven't sent Thank you cards out yet and Eli is already a month old. So, this is to help me feel better until I am more on the ball. I have been hoping to get a nice family picture and for Luke to write our newsletter for the year. Then I could send it all out together but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe I will have to take baby steps and send it out separately so that something actually gets put in the mail. But, for now you can enjoy this technology and know that we are so grateful for all the generosity and help that we have recieved since Eli joined our family! You are greatly appreciated.

Important Announcement
Kristen and I would like to announce the soon to be arrival of . . . just kidding, you think we're crazy!?
Actually what I am announcing is the unveiling of Nikiski High School's first technologically based website for student involvement and achievement-the blog. My co-teacher and I (Tony Jackson-the one who always leaves random, anonymous messages on this blog) have teamed up once again for an incredible adventure. Who knew teaching could be so much fun when you get the right colleague in the room. So anyways, our district approved our students (in all my classes) access to the following blog where they are required to make one posting/response on the original prompt we post and then reply to at least two of their classmates' postings. Essentially, we are melding the wonderful world of language arts with the ever-encroaching world of technology. For those of you who care to peruse this new site of ours, and even make comments inviting students to think more deeply about their postings, the site is:
nikiskihigh.wordpress.com
I must thank Uncle Jim for pointing this blog site out to us as a relatively easy one to use. Thank you.
All is well except for the 40 degree weather we had today, it melts the snow and all. Our friendly neighborhood moose has been back several times to almost finish off our shrubs in the front. But at least he isn't biased. He and his family are eating everyone's plants in the neighborhood. Now, if only I had a compound bow...

Micali at her finest?
Uncle Jim asked for pictures of his beautiful, sweet Micali in her Sunday best, but as you can see, she wasn't the most cooperative. However, she is the sweetest thing that walks this earth. Every night for bedtime after getting on her pjs she goes and kisses Denali, the rocking horse Grandma and Grandpa Peless got her, goodnight, waves night night to the fish, and then goes and finds little brother wherever he is at and gives him a pat on the head and a kiss goodnight. It's adorable.

I AM the BIG Sister!
These are some funny pictures of Micali. The first is her modeling her new boot and dress shoes from Grandma and talking on her new cell phone. Then we have the nice hairdo after taking out her pigtail, and smearing ravioli through. The last ones are taken after she was so patient watching me take all the pictures of Eli. It was her turn. I love the one of her sly smile after she is finished eating. She is full of energy and lots of fun. She LOVES her big brother and smothers him with kisses everytime she gets a chance!
My adorable boy!
I just can't get enough of my little guy. Everytime I look at him I want to grab the camera and take more pictures because I think he looks so cute. For those of you who are thinking alright enough with the pictures of the little guy......you don't have to look. There are grandmas, grandpas, aunts and maybe uncles who are enjoying them! ;)
