At lunch today Micali somehow fell out of her chair. She was talking to me and telling me to look at something. Next thing I know she is on the floor and apple slices are everywhere and water is dripping off the table. I was like Micali what just happened. She didn't feel like responding but I saw her lip was starting to bleed so I got a napkin and helped her up. She shed a tear or two and then was laughing. When she started laughing, I noticed part of her tooth was missing. Seriously??? It wasn't even a hard fall(she landed gracefully on her back). Anyway, it wasn't too bad of a chip thankfully. She didn't seem to be bothered by it at all she just got back in her chair and kept on eating.
While I was trying to get Micali to look at me and open her mouth I took a few pictures of Eli from a different angle so you could see his top teeth in the picture!

A nice reminder....
"Come What May and Love It"
This is a wonderful message. It helps me to know that my Heavenly Father is aware of me and loves me. He wants us to be HAPPY and SUCCESSFUL! Following these principles will make life easier on a day to day basis, especially when there is a tough situation.
I am grateful for these inspired words given by Joseph B. Wirthlin.

Roses are RED...
Micali loves flowers. It was one of the first signs she learned and now she finds them anywhere we are and points them out. Daddy came home with this rose on Valentine's day and she couldn't have been more excited. She carried it around with her for awhile and once we put it in a vase she was constantly asking to smell it. Daddy found the way to his little girls heart. Actually that isn't to hard for him. Micali adores her daddy and gets very excited when he comes home from work. Yesterday she got to ride in the car with him while he ran some errands, she thought that was pretty cool.
Chubby Cheeks, Chubby Fingers and a FULL moon...
My little Eli has turned into a real MOMMA's boy. He even cries sometimes when daddy tries to take care of him. I had the camera close while the kids were playing and couldn't help getting some close-ups of his cheeks and fingers.
I love my BOY!
I love my BOY!
Daddy's got Skills!
Daddy got to be with the kids on Thursday night while I was at church for Relief Society Enrichment meeting. Micali and her daddy played with Legos. She she love the animals he made her. She kept them in a safe place to show me the next morning! Daddy was impressed when he would make and animal for her and she could actually recognize what it was.

A Photo Tag!
This is the first tag I have ever done. I kind of cheated because I went to one area we save our pictures and came across a not so good one of Micali and I at the State Fair in Palmer. So, I went to another place and came across these pictures. These pictures are a little more exciting and have a better story so I decided to go with them. The sixth one was Jon running out of the water with Christopher and Luke hanging out on the blow-up mattress. We had a lot of fun riding the waves on this thing and willingly disobeyed the fine print on the mattress that states it isn't for use on the water.
These boys in the picture all sold pest control before any of us girls knew each other. We have stayed really good friends through the years and even though we are spread out we still keep in contact and plan on getting together this summer for a little reunion.
This is in Florida somewhere. Luke and I were leaving out of Florida to go on a cruise and miraculously his friends happened to be able to meet us there.
I didn't even know these pictures existed until a few months ago Luke was trying to clear out the memory stick on the camera and these randomly came off of it. These were taken 4 years ago!! I was excited and smiled when I saw them.
So here are the rules to the tag:
1) Go to your picture folder, or wherever you store your photos on your computer
2) Go to the sixth folder and pick the sixth picture
3) Post it on your blog and tell the story that goes along with the picture
I skipped the 4th rule because I didn't want to make anyone feel pressured to participate but if you feel like doing this tag go right ahead and I will read it on your blog!

Gone With the Fish!

Last week Luke participated in his first play. He did a great job and wasn't even nervous. I was totally nervous and I wasn't even in the play. I guess I got his stage fright for him so he could relax and remember all of his lines. It was a dinner theatre so we enjoyed a barbeque dinner of brisket, ribs, and chicken with some yummy sides. Mmmm. It was a very enjoyable night and when we got home our wonderful babysitter even had the kids asleep. (Eli often doesn't like going to sleep for anyone but his mommy!)Thanks Celina!!
We also watched the movie Fireproof. It had good recommendations from several people and we liked it too. Be warned if you choose to watch it, there is a little bit of cheesiness in the acting but the moral of the movie is very good. BOTH Luke and I shed a tear or two!
Sharing sibling sweetness
Here are just a few pictures of the cutest kids in the world according to me, the author of this blog. The bottom right pictures show Micali and Eli hanging out under their tent we made with the card table and big zebra blanket. The pictures of both of them under the dining room table just makes me laugh. I was making dinner and didn't hear either of them. When I turned around this is what I saw. Micali relaxing, sucking her own thumb but, playing with her brother's neck. What a nice little bro. The pictures of Eli in Micali's pajamas show that I may not have done as much laundry as I thought I had or Eli's pajamas weren't in the right place when I did. Daddy said no pictures of his boy in PINK but I think he is still cute. The other pictures of Micali and her friends was just a sweet moment I caught, she had them all laying down taking a nap and had used wipes to put over the horsies as their blanket. Love it!
The Home Depot
We have been to The Home Depot quite often. It seems we are in there at least weekly these days while we are fixing up the house. Well, Saturday morning we just happened to be there at the right time. The lady mixing our paint told us we should take Micali into the kids workshop. Before we had kids we saw little ones there building things with their dads and talked about when our kids would do it. But since then we had never been there when it happened and we didn't know how much the cost was. So we decided to check it out. The kind lady let us know this was just something FREE that Home Depot does on the first Saturday of every month. Micali had fun making this box with her daddy. When we got home she put the apron to good use helping with a little touch up painting-----YES, she did have pants on when we took her out!
So for those who haven't done this before go check it out it was a lot of fun. In March they are doing a little wooden race car track. It looked like it would be fun too!

My Micali Girl...
The pictures of Micali riding her horse,Denali, with her baby ponies set up next to her and watching Spirit just crack me up. She did that all by herself.
I have been wanting to get a post written of all the funny things Micali has beening saying and doing. I need to make a list of them because it seems like everytime I come down to the computer I forget. But I will do my best.
--"You so brave Eli, good job!" (as she is pouring cups of water over his head in the bathtub
--"Get off my back, get off my back, yeah" (from the horse movie, Spirit, the horse is trying to be broke and he bucks off person after person and the song is "saying get off of my back" in the background.)
--I help you Eli (grabs on to his feet and pulls him across the floor)
--Humpy Dumpy sat wall, fall down, uh-oh, horsies, broken (her version while reading her Humpty Dumpty book)
--I recently realized she knows the song Families can be together forever (all the words) she got so excited when I started singing it
--Everything in her room has to be exactly where she wants it to be before she can relax and fall asleep. This used to be a stall tactic but now we clean her room before it is time to get ready for bed and she is still very particular about where she puts things. Once she has found a place for something it must go back in that spot
--Today at lunch she said,"My name Cali--you Mommy!"
--She often comes up to me during the day and says "I snuggle" which means mom stop what ever you are doing and hold me for a minute
--She is TOTALLY a Daddy's girl. All day long I hear, "where daddy?" "daddy work?" "daddy church?" "where daddy?" If he pretends like he is sleeping she will instantly come and snuggle next to him. She hasn't yet figured it out that he only does that when he wants her to come and she won't. So when he is trying to get her ready for bed and she decides to hide under the table in hopes of getting chased by daddy, he lays on the floor and closes his eyes and she is in his arms in seconds.
--Today her Daddy called on the phone to talk to her because, he had to be at school late for parent teacher conference and wouldn't see her before she went to bed. He told her to be gentle with her brother so she went over to him and rubbed his head softly and said "I be gentle EEjah, its okay"
--When she hears EEjah crying or does something to make him cry she comes running to me and tells me he needs me NOW.
--This morning she put her clothes on all by herself and told daddy to "pound it" after she said "good job Cali"
Well that is all I have time for. Enjoy!
